The Commuter is a kit for those of us who value ease and efficiency, and dare to enjoy a slower pace on our rides. The 500w motor offers a smooth a consistent power that can reach up to 26mph - plenty enough for daily rides through streets and gravel. This kit is best suited to city and town riding, where the efficiency of the 500w motor offers a better range, and where even a 1000w can feel like overkill. The 500w will get you up most hills you can encounter with a boost from your own two legs, and can feel much more natural when pedal assisted.
If you are looking to go zooming up hills and mountains, this kit may not be the one for you - for anything else, this is the one. We personally would recommend this for anyone looking for a more cost effective alternative to a standard electric bike you might buy in a shop, or for everyday riders who require a dependable way to get around.
This kit is in much closer territory to a legal electric bike out of the box by UK law, but can be restricted the 15.5mph legal EAPC limit, and can be used without the throttle, purely on pedal assist.
